very nice.. Where was this?
I think the place is called Palace of King Carlos V in the Alhambra.
Indeed…and there is an incredible echo if you stand in the right spot in the center!
I’ll try to remember your tip if I ever get there again – or somewhere similar.
Love the composition
Your shot really expresses the timeless quality of a site such as this – I can hear the silence but I can hear the voices too.
Yes indeed. I can tell by your comment you have experienced places like this. It sometimes seems like a hushed respect for other present.
I thought i recognised it. I put my camera on self timer when I was there, rushed into photo and nearly fell 60 odd feet to an early grave. somebody had the foresight to catch me just in time.
……. did the shutter catch the moment? Or did you recover the whole situation in the time the shutter fired to make it look as if everything was serene (whilst your heart was beating at 19 to the dozen)? 😉
No, the shutter released a few seconds later. It was were you could look across to all the makeshift “housing” on the opposite hillside. from memory locals effectively live in caves a mile from this splendid garden.
Or more likely Gitano?
Awesome!!!I would love to visit Alhambra.,,
Don’t forget to book!
