A slightly older shot. This taken quite late in the morning but the sun was only just coming round the hill to melt the frost away from the shadow side.
Really cool shot Stephen. It definitely begs the viewer to ask why exactly only part of the photo is dusted with snow (or frost in this instance). Good eye catching this!
Do you realize how well this fits the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge for today? Changing Seasons is the prompt. This is a beautiful illustration!
Thank you.
I’ve not really investigated the Challenge options.
Like the contrast from green to white.
Thanks.
This is a beautiful image Stephen and a reminder as to why I love Yorkshire so much.
🙂 – Yorkshire folk refer to it as ‘God’s Own County’ .
Amazing, dreamy, beautiful!
Thank you!
Great image and the tight crop (lack of sky) works really well.
As you might guess, leaving the sky out was also a deliberate ploy to avoid exposure problems.
Just so delicately beautiful.. I love the fading of green to white
Thanks.
Glorious! The very essence of England.
🙂 – Aye, lad!
Beautiful echoing lines. So nice.
Thank you.
Wonderful
Thank you!
Wow! This is a great image – SO beautiful – winter when it’s BEST!!!!!

cracking shot Stephen..early morning is the best time of day for landscapes
Indeed.
wide white border between spring and winter 😉
Nice idea!
Beautiful landscape! It really looks cold.
I was on the sun side, so it wasn’t so bad – but I was wearing my woolly hat and gloves too.
Lovely 🙂
Thanks!
