Black and white version of the previous.Β (Photoshop convert using channel mixer, my preferred method of conversion).
And three others, two with colour and black and white variants.
The colour versions are almost ‘monochrome’, so I find it difficult to choose which I prefer.

Although I like b&w, I think these images lose some depth by being converted. They are small images so it is a bit difficult to really tell. I definitely prefer the colour version of the first image with the blue sky reflection.
Thanks Joyce.
I can see your point. Certainly, in this small size, the intricate detail of the background is lost. I think all the compositions would be improved had there been more modelling from a favourable oblique lighting – another reason to return some time!

What perfect reflections!!!
Thanks!
Agree – difficult to choose – excellent work… π
π – A reason to go back. π
Beautiful. The black and white conversions are stunning.
Thank you!
I am drawn to both types of images in this case. I love that almost sepia toning of the landscape.
Elegant.
Thank you.
Personally prefer the colour – because I like the frost-bleached colours you get at this time of year, so to me it seems a shame to miss out on them while they are there.
π – You won’t get an argument from me. Thank you.
Love the b&w, and the reflections are great!
Thanks!
