Ah, old cans can be lovely in this light. Our fathers and grandfathers would have a hard time understanding the appeal of this still life, huh? 🙂 I enjoy the look and feel of old tools and implements … brass and wood. They were so beautifully crafted. Enjoyed this one very much, Stephen.
Ahhhh, the smell of my Dad’s workshop….
🙂
toute une epoque
Just needs a plastic one.
Nice still life.
Thanks – this one was ‘found’.
Caught you in Junsjazz issue 7 – congratulations.
🙂 – thank you.

When it’s a little warmer I may venture into the garage and sort through some of my tools and work a still life or two together..
That would be interesting! 🙂 I’d like to see more of that kind of still life.
This is lovely – great composition and colour. I love the shapes of the spouts.
Thank you!
Isn’t amazing how so many fond memories are brought to life by this image. For me its growing up on a farm where oil cans were a necessity!
🙂 I lived in the middle of a small city – we had ‘the’ oil can and that was it! 😉
