I didn’t mean to be offensive, I thought you were inviting others’ perspective. 🙂
🙂 – I was, I do, I will always – I’m always grateful for any feedback/opinion/critic. I understood your point….I would not disagree with it….. but, I think there’s something else not right, and I can’t put my finger on it. – possibly because it’s a composition of bits which don’t come together in a cohesive way – to make a worthwhile image – for me anyway. It’s in the understanding of these nearly images which helps us make better pictures in the future… ?
Best regards

😉
Thanks. I’ll bear that in mind in future. 🙂 and I’ll take another look.
Personally I think it DOES work. The contrasting converging, arched lines works well and I find it immediately obvious what it is. Nice work in my opinion Stephen.
It works for me. The perspective looks a fraction distorted which may be why it niggles you, I don’t know. It has interesting shapes and light and it is well toned in PP.
’tis true I’ve not corrected for perspective, I’m pointing the camera up so I’d expect that. I won’t be spending any time on it but it’s a helpful developmental work. Cheers!
It’s great to have some critique – even if it’s not on my own pictures ….. as you say, understanding can only help us improve.
For me it doesn’t quite work. Maybe the dark / light split isn’t quite enough? What if the left hand side had disappeared into true black as in the top right hand corner? Much of the rest of the image is nicely toned though so it would be a shame to lose that.
I love the intersecting lines – definitely great potential there!
How interesting to read what others have said. I like it. I like the shades and textures and the off-centre division of light and dark. The lines are interesting too because of their contrast.
Thank you. I think your point is well made – and this is what attracted me to making the image, but I don’t think there’s really a picture here – had there been a corbel at the bottom of the lines it might have worked better.
Thanks – it really needs some sort of focal point, I feel – it’s like one of those (my) landscapes without a real point of interest, a nice scene but needs something (anything)
Love it!
Thank you!
The light and dark split in the image is quite interesting, but what the image is portraying is a bit obscure. Intriguing though.
mmm… I wouldn’t disagree. Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you! I’m still not sure. 😉
Wait. What ?
Love it.

use the right side of your brain and do away with naming of parts – its an abstract!
I like your style! 🙂 – I’ll do that.

Indeed….. a picture with perhaps potential not quite realised and no cohesion. It’s one I’ll retire to the also rans. Thanks for the feedback!

Excellent graphical representation and composition 🙂
It absolutely works.
