Thought I’d add a few views from Thruscross Reservoir to give a flavour of the types of environment a walker would pass through in a trip round it.
- Old friends from a previous post. Shame about the mole hills and contrails.
- Grouse butts
- Posh stile.
- River Washburn – looking upstream
- Footpath goes to the left over the stile (thank goodness!)
- View across reservoir – recognise the tree in the foreground?

Beautiful work Stephen..
Thank you!
Definitely has me eager to take a stroll. Thanks for the motivation.
A stroll in the countryside is definitely good for the mind, provided you give due consideration to personal safety and potential changes in the weather. 😉
These are lovely contrasts between verticals and horizontals! I love the linear feel of these images Stephen.
Thank you!
nice pics Stephen…
Thank you!
A wonderful landscape.
And fine photos!
Thank you.
Just here the land is turning to Moorland away from the Reservoir which is surrounded by trees.
