We encounter some trees as single entities standing in the countryside. Some trees we find associating with their own kind – either by design or chance. In this case, the tree was standing at the edge of a conifer plantation. I suspect it was a deliberate planting to ‘soften’ the rather austere nature of block planted plantation trees. I just loved the texture and colouring of its trunk – almost as if it had been painted on – with the slight motion blur of the leaves adding to the overall effect.
