He had me worried at one stage – we were in an open field but some distance from the sheep but he made it his business to wander all the way across the field and stand in front of me – hence the pic. I didn’t want to go home with a red stain on MY back – the missus would have definitely asked questions!
🙂 – at first I thought the farmer had been a little extravagant in marking his sheep, then the penny dropped. It was just a matter of looking through the scattered sheep to identify the culprit.
Leaving little daubs of paint on ewes I presume.
Absolutely – and not so ‘little’ in many cases (I think he must have been particularly fond of a special few)

Certainly not a place for the mother-in-law (though in truth she was brought up around farms so such things are unlikely to raise an eyebrow.)
