Intrigued by the patterning of the bark of the tree, a young family happened along the path on the far bank, and the lady just happened to have a red coat on – (couldn’t resist!). I also liked the little line of ivy going up the trunk of the tree, so took an extra shot giving the ivy more prominence.

great shots!
Thank you, Sheila!
Rally interesting photographs, Stephen.
Thank you, George! I have replied to your individual comments on the bark, but I’m not sure if you will get notice of that on the theme I’m using here.
Red is hard to resist!
Indeed!
You must have a red coat! 😉 By the way, I have liked your posts in Reader but it doesn’t seem to be showing up when I have come to the post. Joyce
Thank you!
(I’ve checked what I can but things seem to be working okay for me.)
OK. It’s probably a delay in the system. I sometimes find that likes, comments and emails don’t always sync.
I know what you mean, it ‘does my head in!’ 😉
Exceptional. Delicate but forcefully arresting.
Thank you.
Love the tree bark – so interesting.
Thanks!
