Great shot Stephen loads of detail 🙂
Reblogged this on The Legion of Door Whores.
My sort of shot. Superb, Stephen.
🙂 Thank you!
I love the kind of details.
Thanks. The light worked nicely for me.
What a fabulous door. Great shot. Very talented artisans who made this.
Such a great entry to anyone’s abode 😀
You’re right about the people who made these things – one of the reasons that attracts me to doing the church thing – some of the craftsmanship is awesome, especially when we bear in mind the hand tools they had to use.
I do so agree.
My husband makes beautiful things… handmade things…. whatever it needs to be.
It’s an art form that is being / has been lost in some or even many? instances.
The churches are full of artisan’s works and history.
I can understand (and even share) your attraction to these.
Nice shooting / capturing 🙂
As we say – it’s all about the light!
Beautiful detail in the ironmongery – what an amazing door!
Beautiful door. 🙂
Yes, I would have liked to take an image of this whole door from this angle, but my room to work was limited.
