We can guess what this character’s main thoughts are (this time of year)…. though he seemed to have a bit of a liking for titbits in our flowerpots this morning.
I know this as a Pheasant – whether this is a truly wild bird or one bred for the shoot I couldn’t say. We occasionally get them tapping at the door glass.
This guy is too kingly to become table fare … what a beauty ! (but I do know a good Italian recipe that ends with adding natural cream to the concoction …) (and requires NO GARLIC either) …
That’s a great shot- lovely colouring.
Thanks!
Through the window I’m afraid, on a rather dull day.
Please identify for this foreigner: pheasant? grouse?

This must be a really lucky old pheasant, I’ve heard the bigger the white ring around the neck, the older they are!
I didn’t know that, thanks!
A handsome chap. Doubtless wondering whether Liverpool will win the Premiership.
Trying to see what flavour sauce is being prepared in advance so he can adjust his diet accordingly.

🙂 – if I happened to be a bit more ‘butch’ I”m sure he’d already be hanging in the garage for a bit of maturity!
As to garlic…… maybe, maybe not.
Incredible detail! Love it. 🙂
Thank you!
