🙂 – I think it’s now owned by one of the Universities in Leeds – whether it was bequeathed or part of a compulsory purchase arrangement, I don’t know. (it’s right next to the A1M)
Definitely! In my younger day I might have got round the back to seeing there was a way in – but the signs suggested it was well watched by a security firm…..
I’ve always wanted to live in a tired old place with tons of character. A little elbow grease, a quick trim for the garden path. Home sweet home. Do you think they would rent it? 🙂
Thanks for all your images. I love the diversity.

As to renting, and perhaps a clue as to why it’s empty at the moment, a motorway is just a few hundred yards from the front of the property and to the side is a dual carriage way! Various signs say the farmhouse and it’s out buildings are in the ownership of a local university – so they either plan to make it an remote facility or, perhaps, use it for some sort of research project.
Thanks again.

Thank goodness. (We are insignificant in the grand scheme.)
what a beautiful place
I’d love to get inside to take some photos, but the signs suggest the owners wouldn’t be very happy!
I know that feeling!
I love this! It still looks so charming even though it’s covered.
Thank you.
Wouldn’t you like to enter?! I WOULD!!!
