Rendered with perfection, love the detail in the beautifully etched trees. So curious to know how you calculated the metering Stephen? It’s all so wonderfully atmospheric.
Thank you.
I’ve used a long focal length, as you will appreciate. my 300mm f4 at f5.6. Metering was evaluative. In post using photoshop, I’ve reduced the highlights which has given a bit more intensity to the colour of the sky and helped with some minor clipping on the sun. Reducing the highlights has left the rest of the image alone as it’s pretty low on the dynamic range. At the time, I would have checked the histogram on the camera to ensure it wasn’t busted by too much at the high end. I only had time for the one shot – saw the pic, framed and set the exposure – it’s incredible how quickly these things move relative to static objects.
Beautiful! 🙂
Thank you!
Excellent, Stephen.
That’s kind of you, thank you!
Fascinating… 🙂
Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback Stephen, much appreciated. Hoping to experiment more with low lighting.
Very poignant Steve.
Thank you!
Another one fascinated me again! So beautiful. Thank you, Love, nia
