This portrait was taken at night using torchlight/flashlight. Whilst I believe it is a Red-eyed Stream Frog, I’m happy to be corrected on this. There seem to be alternative Latin names – Duellmanohyla uranochroa or Duellmanohyla rufioculis – maybe they are different animals?

Excellent.
Thank you!
Ooh, more frogs. Love them.
🙂 Unfortunately, this is likely to be the last for some time, as I have no more. (Of course, just saying this is likely to push some more opportunities my way!)
May I put in a bid for toads too?
If I see a toad and have my camera I’ll be photographing it, rest assured!
I think it might be the Duellmanohyla rufioculis if I should believe Google (?)… 🙂
Another source suggests it’s a uranochroa. 🙂
I think the solution to my ‘dilemma’ is for me to return to Costa Rica and make a better job of the photography! (I don’t think I can swing it during 2020 – I think the plan is to go somewhere East -, but maybe soon after.)
Nice reason to go back ☺
