There’s a viaduct a little further up the river from this point which we didn’t get time to walk up to, which is an added incentive for a revisit. (Along the Nidd Gorge just up from Knaresborough)
You’re very kind. I have thrown a little more PS work at it than I would normally use, but that in itself has given me a useful insight into things I need to think about on a revisit.
Along with a few others here, I quite like the light. Still, it would be interesting to see the version with the light as you would have liked. Good luck on your revisit!

I thought I had seen it somewhere but couldn’t place it, thanks for the info – I don’t know this area too well so it is nice to see photos of it.
