Barcelona’s Museum of Contemporary Art  – it would be unfair to suggest the internal structure of the building was more interesting than the exhibits themselves but I could have easily spent half a day exploring the interplay of light and shadow as the sun moved round.  Looking at the collection/exhibits, I found the cobwebs covering my studies associated with my photography course being blown away – my Art lecturer would have loved it.

MNAC Auditorium Ceiling

Barcelona’s Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya – ceiling of Auditorium.   When we were there they were preparing the floor of the auditorium for a presentation dinner of some sort – stage at one end and lots of a large round tables carefully placed around the floor.

Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família

I recently spent a few days in Barcelona, Spain.  The obligatory visit to the Gaudi Cathedral left me uninspired, if I’m honest.  I didn’t find it a spiritual place – and the sheer number of tourists taking their selfies made the space pretty manic.  Light levels were quite low as it was a cloudy day, so I had to push the ISO on my compact camera up a fair bit.
